This is a very unusual piece. Part painting, part collage, I think of it as a Discover Board. Created in 2008, I thought to use the artistic process to seek clarity about the next phase of my life. This huge, complicated 'vision board' on steriods was the result. It took a month to put together and then many more months of just being with it, meditating with it, walking by it every day. Each photograph, and every phrase, felt good and right to me, but finding the common thread, the deeper meaning and answer I'd been seeking took longer.
I felt that I needed to create a video of it to tell its story because it was so complicated. In the sequencing of image and words, the meaning began to be revealed, and summed itself up in the title "We Are Inseparable".
