This is a small sampling of the sculptures that I have created. Many of them look like small self-contained universes. I create them by painting hardwood balls, and then positioning them over an exotic wood base with rods of copper, steel or brass. I sometimes add in crystals, shells and wire. The two sculptures at the bottom of the page are my most recent creations, done in June of 2007. It had been 1.5 years since my last 3D work. Felt great to create like this again!
Stonehenge is a replica of the Sarsen circle from that site, 6 feet in diameter, and made from concrete. Symbols appear on the base stones. Click here to see the symbols.
I have also created more unusual sculptures. Potentialities was a commission. The owner simply said "I like wood". I hiked in the woods nearby and found branches and other interesting wood shapes and varnished them many times. I collected pine needles and wove them into a loose mat. I included some crystals and feathers in the final assembly.
