When I stepped away from making my little Universe sculptures, I began doodling on small pieces of paper just for fun. I had just moved and didn't a space to create my sculptures anymore... at loose ends with myself. The doodles were just a way to kill time until I figured out what to do next.
Symbol-like shapes began flowing out of my hands and onto the paper, and I know that they carry specific meanings. I generally don't know what they mean, but I have seen people look at them and somehow get a message subconsciously. You can see it in the way their eyes move across the surface and the expressions that flow across their face. It's pretty amazing, really.
The symbols are very ancient and come to me from the Ancestors. I have tried to find similar symbols on the internet, but to no avail.
There is usually a connectedness about the images, each part connecting to the rest in some way. The meandering lines of dots that show up in so many of my paintings have been likened to Songlines, the ancient method of recording and passing down vital information from generation to generation.
Since those early days, the symbols come and go, mostly getting incoporated into larger pieces now. But the images included on this page are either early doodles, or they are pieces that contain a great deal of ancient wisdom encoded for healing purposes.
You are chosen to carry
the wonder of the Ancients
forward into tomorrow,
and all your tomorrows.
Know that you are the Eternal Seed.
If the seed is to grow
and realize its truth
it needs only three things:
love, wisdom and power.
Creation moves
with elegance and simplicity.
