Inspiration comes to each of us in unique ways, whether it is sitting in front of a canvas, standing in front of a stove or viewing a spectacular sunset.
My inspiration comes spontaneously. I create in the moment, my heart and hands taking control of the process. As you can see from the pictures above, the results are diverse, often unexpected and rather unique.
When I create my art pieces, I invite those who will view the work to awaken, to wonder, to explore and to remember how to play... In so doing, they will heal, renew and expand their lives and capacity for joy. It's an amazing world and an amazing time we live in. So come, please enjoy your stay. There's lots to explore in this space. Take as long as you like and come back often. If you like a particular painting, print it out and keep it near you. What's in a Name?
Several years ago I was given the name AhneeKA, which I was told means "Beloved Daughter of Ra". For a long time I didn't know what to do with this new name, but I have used its symbolic form to sign all my art. It seems to me that having two names is a clear representation of my mystical side and my practical, pragmatic side. Becoming comfortable with both names has helped me find balance between these very different aspects of myself. Feel free to call me by either name...

Wednesday, September 9, I was the featured guest on The Shift, an internet radio show hosted by Wilhelmina McKittrick. (My second radio interview!) During the hour long show our conversation ranged across many various topics, including the creative healing process I use and teach and the meaning of 09/09/09 (the date of the show, ending at 09:00 pm). WORLD SERVICE MEDITATION at Laughing Creek, Richmond Heights Ohio
Friday evening, September 4 I was invited to lead a full moon world service/ meditation at this wonderful center near Cleveland. After a community dinner out on deck, everyone came inside to view my new video "We Are Inseparable" and prepare for the evening meditation. The theme for the evening was about reconnecting with the Earth in a personal way. On a table in the middle of the room I had laid out stones, crystals, leaves, twigs, feathers, etc. and invited everyone to take one in their hands. I guided them into a meditative state and then suggested they merge energies with the object in their hands, talk to it, listen to the message it had for them. We did this twice, and as always most people felt a profound, surprisingly clear and intelligent connection. It was a lovely honor to share this experience with so many that evening.
